Bruce Springsteen's recording career spans more than thirty years, beginning with 1973's Columbia Records release 'Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ.' By 1975, the covers of both Time and Newsweek declared Springsteen's music a national phenomenon. He has released twenty-four albums, garnered nineteen Grammy Awards, won an Oscar (for 1994's "Streets of Philadelphia") and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Springsteen's newest album 'Working On a Dream,' debuted at number one on the Billboard chart in 16 countries, including the U.S. He is a 2009 recipient of Kennedy Center Honors.

wilsonjk , about 1 month agoI have so many magical Jazz Fest moments, but nothing compares to the tears that ran down my face when Bruce showed up after Katrina and played to a hushed and teary eyed mass "keep your eyes on the prize" with a host of musicians that I have yet to see as well polished as they were that day. Thank you for that moment ...... New Orleans is the "PRIZE" and my eye reamins on it!
iambobbarr , 3 months agoI have a chill running up my spine. I feel so lucky as a JERSEY guy to see the Boss in NOLA which is also my home. This the first time in the history of the Fest that I will go both weekends. I cannot imagine what Bruce will do with the loverly people of NOLA and the 10s of thousand that make this sacred pilgrimage from all over the world.

lydiar31 , 3 months agoMost excellent that you will join Jazzfest this year. I see your date and time is TBA. Please, please, please play the second weekend! Why????? Because I'm your biggest fan in the entire world. I also play alto and tenor if you still need a sax player to try and replace Clarence! I know all the songs :)
kmac , 3 months agoWelcome to the Big Easy, Boss! I have lived here (from Boston) since '82. Thank you for not forgetting about the "City that Care Forgot" during our hard times and so glad you are here for the Good Times!! Have a great time at the Jazz Fest.
