Sonny Landreth’s unique spin on guitar playing has made him legendary. He combines the slide with fretted notes; this finger picking technique helps him create a complex, multi-layered sound onstage. The talented guitarist has built quite a fan base including Eric Clapton and Jimmy Buffett. Sonny has traveled all over performing at numerous festivals such as: Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. ‘From the Reach’, Sonny Landreth’s ninth album, is the first to be released on his own Landfall label. On it, the Louisiana-based slide-guitar wizard does something unprecedented in his body of work, as he collaborates with five of the greatest guitar players on the planet — Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson and Vince Gill -- In some jaw-dropping performances. Also making a house call is the legendary New Orleans pianist and singer Dr. John and Margaritaville’s iconic troubadour Jimmy Buffett. His performance at Festival International will be one you do not want to miss!
